Technical tools and optional map
The website does not embed Google Analytics, advertising pixels or third party videos. Google Maps stays inactive until you choose “Show the map” in the Finding us section. This loads Google’s service, which may receive your IP address and use cookies under its own privacy notice (policies.google.com/privacy). You can deactivate it with “Hide the map”; this removes the map from the page but does not delete cookies Google may already have set. Your choice is not stored: the map is inactive again on the next page load. You can also open Google Maps through the external link.
Local memory for the notice
The villa-privacy-notice-v1 browser storage entry records only the notice version, dismissal date and expiry after six calendar months. It contains no name, email, IP address or visitor identifier and is not sent to the server. It prevents the notice appearing on every page. If your browser blocks this storage, the notice may appear again. You can reopen it through ‘Privacy and cookies’ in the footer.
Private property management access
Only in the OVH management area, the villa_owner cookie maintains the authenticated session, with Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Strict protections. It expires when the browser closes; the application also ends the session after 30 minutes of inactivity or 12 hours after login. Visitors do not need it to read pages or send a request.
Managing browser data
You can delete local storage and cookies in your browser settings. Tools strictly necessary for a service you request do not require consent; this notice is informational. We do not show acceptance controls for tracking categories the website does not use. Any new optional tools will require new configuration and your prior consent where required.
AI assistant on request
The assistant does not save the chat in cookies, localStorage or sessionStorage and makes no network requests before you choose to start it. Messages go to OpenAI only when you send them. “New conversation” clears the text in the page; loading another page also removes it from the browser. This does not delete summaries already emailed to the property, queued summaries or the provider’s technical data. See the assistant section of the privacy notice.
